TRIB GIVES - OUTSTANDING YOUNG CITIZEN AWARD PROGRAM

The Outstanding Young Citizens program is an annual awards program that has recognized the achievements of local middle and high schools students in the Western Pennsylvania region for more than 15 years. These outstanding young citizens are nominated based on their character; academic achievements and community service work and are nominated by their family, friends, teachers, or school officials. Of those students who are nominated 100 from each of five (5) defined regions are selected and invited to the Outstanding Young Citizen's Award Banquet, where 10 students (from each region) are awarded with the Outstanding Young Citizen's Gold Medals, signifying that they are among the very best of the best.
